The athlete who is looking for a shoe with minimalist features without going totally barefoot. That is, he/she is interested in some cushioning with a minimum drop and more space in the toe box.

Price:

140 in full price, it is in the average of all functional training shoes.

Construction and design

The model Under Armour Tri Base Reign 6 is revolutionary in that it is different from all of its predecessor shoes.

Materials

The upper of the shoe is made of 3 clearly differentiated materials.

Heel area

• Pillowcushioning material: this cushioning material helps to keep the heel area secure and prevent the shoe from slipping off.

Inner sole

If I like a boy's design and I'm a girl, or vice versa, can I buy it? Sure, the shoe is the same, you can do it as long as there is one in your size.

The fact of designing certain colors for one sex or another is starting to be a bit old-fashioned. But it is usually a strategy of the companies because they consider that some designs are more or less liked by a sector, and from there they manufacture the usual sizes for each sex.

Size

If you want to use other models as a reference, such as Metcon, you can order the same size.

If you want to compare it with the Tribase Reign 5, it is recommended half a size smaller as they seem a little wider than the previous models.

When choosing the right size, it is recommended that you consult the size guide on the web but be careful! It seems that in Europe they have used a conversion from American sizing and the result is somewhat confusing as the same measurement in cm, results in 2 sizes (as is my case).

If you find yourself in this scenario, I advise you to choose the larger size..

I'm a 37 normally, this chart doesn't even show this size, so I went for the 37.5 and the size is correct, they don't fit me big.

How they respond to training

• Construction and design: the Tri Base Reign 6 model is completely new compared to its predecessors.
• Comfort: the removable insole and heel support are highly valued features.
• Traction: The sole offers excellent grip on various surfaces, although it is not the best for rope climbing, it is not impossible to perform, it is ok.
• WeightAlthough it is a heavier shoe than other CrossFit models, it does not seem to be a clear disadvantage when using them as they do not feel uncomfortable and allow you to move with agility without problems. Partly thanks to the flexibility and comfort of the middle part of the shoe.
• Minimum dropThe low profile offers great stability.
