CrossFit Games 2023

With a very good feeling, she achieved 7th place and recognizes that in the last two years she had lost her self-confidence.
This year he has regained his enthusiasm and desire to compete and train every day.

TOP10 in all events except a 23rd and 11th position. Katrin finishes 2nd in North America West, earning her pass to the Games and proving that she has regained her confidence in competition.
2022
Joins HWPO
Announces its joining the platform of Mat FraserHWPO.
We can consider it a reunion, as Fraser and Davidsdottir coincided at CompTrain and both won the 2016 CrossFit Games under Ben Bergeron.
Does not qualify for Games
During the Games, she was an alternate for the CrossFit Reykjavik team and was rumored to be replacing Lauren Fisher. Ultimately, Fisher was able to finish the competition.
Missed out on qualifying for the CrossFit Games by only 6 points after a 6th place finish in the Semifinal Strength in Depth.
2021
Leaves CompTrain
During the Rogue invitational 2021 we saw Davidsdottir (15th) in the competition with a very modest performance.
Davidsdottir reportedly recently left CompTrain programming to join Annie Thorisdottir trained by Jami Tikkanen.
The athlete had a very close relationship with her coach Ben Bergeron, as she had explained in several reports, she felt fully integrated into his family for 7 years. Katrin moved to New England (USA) when she started working with Ben.
We know that Davidsdottir has always had a very good relationship with Annie, and now they have also started a business together in sports headphones (DOTTIR AUDIO).
The coaching change took place just after Games 2021 when her final result was the worst (10th) since she started competing in 2015 with Ben as coach.
2020
CrossFit Games 2020
After a bad sporting streak, Davidsdottir manages to finish 2nd in the edition of only 5 athletes that was held at the Rancho de Dave Castro.
Controversy with Greg Glassman
Following Greg Glassman's comments on Twitter, Katrin is among the first athletes to announce via Instagram that she would not compete in Games 2020 unless there was a major change in the company.
"I am truly embarrassed, disappointed and angry at what has happened these past few days to an organization that I am dedicated to, that I work hard for and that I so proudly represent."
After the change of CEO from Glassman to Dave Castro, the athlete added:
"What we have now is not a change I can stomach. I think we can and should do better than this."

Win the CrossFit Games 2015 and 2016.
Precisely the following year (2015) Katrin was crowned the Fittest on earth, and a year later (2016) she was again at the top of the podium.
Out of the Games in 2014
In 2014 failed to qualify for the CrossFit Games. and it was when he started working with (Ben Bergeron).
Ben could see how Katrin got stuck in a wod in which the athlete had to climb the rope. It was the poor result of that regional event that caused the islander to miss out on the Games.
As explained by Ben in its book , he approached her and told her that not qualifying for the Games was the best thing that could have happened to her.. Evidently to the athlete it didn't seem that way, and she even doubted that she was having a serious conversation with Ben. Gradually they were able to get to know each other a little better and understand why Ben had told her that this was an opportunity for her, and they began to work together.
Katrin was one of the first athletes to change regions. She was so eager to learn and improve that she literally moved in with her coach and his family. Since then, the athlete always explains that Ben is much more than her coach and has fully integrated into the Bergeron family where she lives in Massachusetts. The box where the athlete trains is where Ben acts as her coach, CrossFit New England.
Katrin's diet and supplementation
As Katrin's coach Ben explains, the athlete is very strict in her diet. Despite being familiar with the foods in your diet and portions, the islander follows a strict guideline in which she weighs all of her food to make sure she sticks to the plan.
Relationship with Sara Sigmundsdottir
Without having any official information, it seems that there is some rivalry between Katrin and Sara.
Basically, along with Annie Thorisdottir, there are 3 Icelandic athletes competing professionally in CrossFit. And while Annie seems to get along well with both of them and receive public support from both Katrin and Sara, it seems that between them the relationship is not so good.
Although they have been teammates at Invitationals, it is always pointed out how they try to avoid being together in photos.
