Tips
We will share the best programming tips.
Smart Program
Wod rhythm and rowing rhythm
Work at the pace you would endure for 20โฒ without getting off the rowingIt is important to be aware of our capacity and not to overdo it, this pace must allow us to leave and start dead weights immediately, fatigue during the rounds will do its work and it is important to maintain the
pace and pulse control, control your breathing well, try to relax on the rope and use the deadlift style that suits you best. All high and medium level athletes will go touch and go as they are light weights, but perhaps not the best choice for other more beginner athletes.
Transitions
Like most of the wods of this style that we have seen in other occasions, it is very important the rhythm in the transitions and to maintain them during the whole wod. wodThe higher the level, the more aggressive the transitions, the more important is the placement of the material and how we do it.
Training Culture
Immediate transition
Don't waste time going from one exercise to another, place everything close together and try to adjust the rhythm of the wod on the rowing.
Don't overdo it with the rhythm
Choose a pace that allows you to push yourself harder in the last two rounds. Since you will be making fast transitions, a good strategy and warm-up can make all the difference.
Focus on double unders
You must pay all your attention not to fail, every second is worth gold. But if this happens, just QUIET, keep breathing.
Breathe in an orderly manner
Don't lose focus on your breathing. It will help you to keep your heart rate low and not cross the red line too early.
Notes:
- You can start the wod sitting on the paddle, without gripping the paddle.
- No floor plan is required.
- You can get help to reset the paddle.
- No tiebreak.
- During rowing, 10 meters = 1 repetition, rounded down (e.g., 237 meters = 23 repetitions).
- If time runs out during rowing, record your score when the monitor has stopped.
