Below are the links to the TOP 100 for men and women, and the ranking of all athletes who qualified for Quarterfinals 2022.
What does the CrossFit World Ranking include?
In order to determine the position of an athlete in the world ranking, points will be assigned according to the results obtained in the previous 2 years in the different phases of the CrossFit season (Open, Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Games).
The ranking, which will be made public shortly, will include the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
At the end of the 2023 Open and Quarters, scores will be recalculated.discarding the Open and Quarterfinals in 2021.
Scores will be updated once the Semifinals 2023 and Games 2023 Leaderboard is finalized.
How are the points distributed?
Points for the Open and Quarterfinals will be awarded based on each athlete's world percentile.
Athletes will receive points for their final percentile x 10.
Open
In the Open, there are 1,000 points for the top male and female athletes worldwide and the scores go down from there: 990 for the 99th percentile, 980 for the 98th percentile, and so on.
Quarterfinals
During the Quarterfinals, athletes will receive points for their world percentile x 20.
There are 2,000 points for the top male and female athletes worldwide and the scores go down from there: 1,980 points for the 99th percentile, 1,960 for the 98th percentile, and so on.
Semifinals
Once the season progresses to the face-to-face events (Semifinals and the Games), points are awarded based on the final standings.
Each position in the ranking of each competition will award a different number of points.
The best male and female athlete in each semifinal will receive 4,000 points.
The rest of the semifinalists will have different opportunities to obtain points.
For the 2023 season, the updated points tables for all Semi-Finals will be based on the final number of Games qualifying positions in each competition.
Semifinals with a higher number of qualifying positions/larger number of athletes will have a more gradual decrease in points per placement.
For example, in a smaller region with only one qualified athletethe difference between first and second place will be:
First = 4,000 points
Second = 1,800 points
In a larger region with 10 qualified athletesthe difference between first and second place will be:
First = 4,000 points
Second = 3,750 points
CrossFit Games
Qualifying for the Games opens up the greatest possibility of earning points. Winning them and becoming the Fittest on Earth will award 10000 points.
There are 59625 points to be distributed during the CrossFit Games.
We are awaiting further details on how the number of extra positions in some Semifinals will be determined. Change announced with the publication of the rulebook.
