In order to perform at our best in CrossFit it is important to align our diet as well. This step has a greater impact on our performance than supplementation, although it is customary to reverse the relevance.
In fact, the Greg Glassmanthe founder of CrossFit, defined fitness, starting with nutrition, as follows:
Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake at levels that allow you to exercise but not get fat. Practice and train the major lifts: deadlift, clean, squat, press, C&J and snatch. Likewise, master the fundamentals of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, lunges, rope climbs, push-ups, crunches, press-ups, pirouettes, cartwheels, splits and holds. Cycle, run, swim, row, etc., hard and fast. Five or six days a week, mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity allows. Routine is the enemy. Workouts should be short and intense. Learn and practice new sports regularly.
It is for this reason that the Paleo diet has always been closely linked to CrossFit.
We can think of the Paleo diet as a lifestyle based on recovering our true diet as humans. That's a good definition, but in reality, if we only pay attention to our diet, we are forgetting many more factors that directly impact our health.

Paleo diet book and recipes
