What is the World Fitness Project?

Theย World Fitness Projectย is a new fitness league that promises to revolutionize the way athletes compete. The idea is for athletes of different levels to participate, from beginners to professionals, and the goal is to achieve one of the 20 Pro cards for the following year.

How does the World Fitness Project work?

The structure of the project resembles that of eSports competitions.

The competition format includes Tour Events where athletes can accumulate points. This gives them the opportunity to secure a place in the ranking and get their PRO Card for the 2026 season.

Divisions in the World Fitness Project

There are 3 divisions:

PRO

20 male and 20 female athletes to have professional contractsguaranteeing automatic invitations to compete in WFP events throughout the season. These contracts, which reportedly can reach up to $100,000, ensure professional-level support for athletes. The goal is to accumulate points to earn a place in the top 20 ranking.

Those competing in events in this division score higher than in Challenger events.

Details about the broadcasting are unknown at the moment, but the organization has confirmed that they intend to broadcast the Tour Events and the Final. In addition, they plan to create content for social networks, such as the mythical "Road to Games" or something similar.

Can the World Fitness Project compete with the CrossFit Games?

The World Fitness Project has clarified that it does not intend to be a direct competitor to the CrossFit Games and in no way has PRO athletes been urged that they cannot compete as well.

The season is designed to avoid conflicts with CrossFit Games events, however, Tour Event 1, which is held in May in Indianapolis, coincides with the French Throwdown.
