HYROX Elite 15: How to qualify for the World Cup in season 25/26

HYROX is one of the most challenging fitness competitions in the world, attracting thousands of athletes looking to test their endurance, strength and speed.
The HYROX season runs throughout the year with a series of events around the world, culminating in the World Championships.
Here's how the season works and how athletes can qualify for the most prestigious championships.
How to compete in HYROX?
The HYROX season consists of multiple events in cities around the world, where athletes can participate in different categories:
- Individual Open and Pro (Men/Women)
- Doubles (Men/Women/Mixed)
- Relay (Men/Women/Mixed)
Anyone over 16 years of age can register and compete in a HYROX event without prior qualification.
Elite 15 and the qualifying series
HYROX has unveiled the official structure of the season 2025/26 of its series Elite 15the sport's professional division. This series brings together the world's top 15 athletes, who will compete in key events for titles, cash prizes and the coveted crown of the HYROX World Champion.
The season consists of:
- 4 Majors
- 3 Regional Championships
- 1 World Championship
Only the athletes of the Elite 15 can compete for the absolute title of World Champion of Fitness Racing and qualify for economic prizes.
Qualification for the Majors
The Majors are the most important qualifying events, where the best athletes secure their place for the World Championships.
Each Major has a total prize pool of $60,000 (30,000 for men and 30,000 for women).
Format and classification - Individuals
- Automatic sortingThe winners of Majors 2024/25 (Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Las Vegas and Glasgow) and the Top 3 of the World Cup 2025 qualify directly.
- Classification by timeThe remaining places are awarded according to the average of the 2 best "Pro" times of the last year (365 days), dynamically updated after each race.
- 15 athletes per category (15 men and 15 women) will participate in each Major.
- Top 3 of each Major qualify for the World Cup. If they are already qualified, the quota is transferred to the next eligible athlete.
Format and classification - Doubles
- There is no automatic classification.
- Classification by timeThe top 15 "Pro Doubles" teams are ranked according to their best time over the last 365 days.
- No substitutions are allowed. The pair must remain the same.
All Majors will be in Grid and will be streamed.

Qualification for the Regional Championships
There will be three Regional Championships, one for each region:
- Americas: Washington DC (requires a passport from an American country)
- EMEA: London, United Kingdom (EMEA passport required)
- APAC: Brisbane, Australia (APAC passport required)
Key rules:
- Only 1 athlete (or pair in doubles) qualifies to the World Championship per championship..
- Classification is only available to athletes with a valid passport from the region.
- Not allowed to compete in more than one regioneven if you have dual citizenship. Only the first participation will count.
- The following are selected 15 best times by region to participate in the regional event.

Qualification for the World Championships
The World Championships are the highlight of the season and bring together the best athletes in the world.
Any competitor participating in a regular HYROX event has the opportunity to qualify, although the number of places is limited and varies according to the size of the event.
The only way to get to the World Cup is:
- Be Top 3 in a Major (12 places adding all Majors), or
- Be winner of a Regional Championship (3 places in total)
No direct classification by time in regular careers.

- 2023: Manchester, United Kingdom
- 2024: Nice, France
- 2025: Chicago, USA.
- 2026: Stockholm, Sweden

In addition to the World ChampionshipsHYROX organizes the European Championships and other Open Championships in different continents.
These competitions are open to all athletes, without the need for prior qualification, and bring together participants of multiple nationalities.
