Men and women came out at the same time. The men a little ahead.

Australian Ricky Garard took the lead along with Jeffrey Adler. On the women's side, Tia Toomey was the leading woman.

Jeffrey Adler lost his hat in the middle of the test.

Khrennikov, Hoste and Lazar Djukic was the next group.

Adler distanced himself from Garard and reached the water first.

Tia Toomey was the first to enter the water and overtook several men in the water.

After some time in the water, Jeffrey Adler started to swim backwards, very fatigued, trying to recover and we saw Djukic, with a Water Polo background, close the gap. Adler was overtaken by Djukic, but Hoste would be the one to take the lead.

Adler finished 20th.

Tia Toomey's 36th event win in a CrossFit Games.

Vellner 32, umpteenth bad start for the Canadian.

After the event was over, Lazar Djukic's track was lost, the Serbian had problems while swimming and finally sank. After several hours of searching, a rescue team finally pulled out the lifeless body of the athlete. A tragedy that Don Faul confirmed in a subsequent press conference.

Raptis accelerated and left Wells behind. Raptis started to slow down thinking she was done but the judges warned her to keep going. This took its toll on her and the gap to Wells was reduced. In the end both athletes crossed the finish line at almost the same time but the chips gave the win to Raptis by 2 tenths of a second.

In the second half Georgia Pryer was the fastest with a great sprint.

In the second heat the group started together. Adams and Toomey were leading the race followed by Cringle, Rolfe and Flores. In the last corner Toomey stepped on the gas and won the race followed by Cringle and Adams.
