If you are participating in a HYROX competition this season, you need to know the updated penalties for 2025/26. These regulations affect both singles and doubles competitors, and can make the difference between advancing or being disqualified.

What happens if I don't complete a Sled Push or Sled Pull length?
You will be penalized with 3 minutes for each length not completed. This is an automatic penalty and does not allow prior warnings. Be sure to complete the entire route in your assigned lane.
Can I be disqualified for accumulating warnings?
Yes, in some cases, such as do not stay together in doublesaccumulating three warnings implies direct disqualification. It also happens if you start on the wrong wave or do fewer laps in a 1-turn race.
What does "No rep" mean at a station?
Means that repetition does not count. You must repeat the movement correctly. This applies to stations such as Wall Balls, Lunges or BBJwhere not meeting the standard invalidates the repetition without extra time, but it does slow you down.
What happens if I commit an infraction and correct it quickly?
At stations such as Farmer Carry or Lungesif you drop the material or take it out of zone but correct it after the warning, the penalty may cancel each other out. It depends on the judge's criteria and the speed with which you solve it.
Which errors are not penalized the first time?
Some actions are allowed without penalty on the first offense, such as:
- Pulling out of the lane in Sled Push or Pull
- Incorrect footing in SkiErg
- Incorrect positioning in doubles changes
But in the second time is already penalized with 15 seconds or more.
Are there different penalties if I compete in doubles?
Yes, in doubles, coordination errors between colleagues are punishable. For example:
- If the athlete at rest is not behind
- If the handle or bag is passed incorrectly
- If the change is made incorrectly in BBJ or Wall Balls
Each error can add up to 15 seconds per violation if not corrected.
Can I appeal a penalty during the race?
No. The judge's decisions are final during the competition. You can comment at the end of the event, but no times are reevaluated and no penalties are cancelled in the race.
What happens if I run fewer laps than I should?
- In 1-lap circuits: Direct disqualification
- In 2 laps: 7 minutes penalty
- In 3 laps: 5 minutes penalty
